Issue 1- LGBTQ+ Rights Protections

I, Lindsey Hall, am an experienced community organizer passionate about uplifting the LGBTQ+ community. I believe comprehensive healthcare is a fundamental human right, and I will fight to expand Medicaid and fight for universal healthcare for all Americans. I will also support legislation that prohibits discrimination against transgender individuals in employment, housing, and public accommodations. I will work to ensure that all LGBTQ+ individuals have equal opportunities to succeed and thrive. My advocacy for minority transition regulations will support the most marginalized in our community. I will work to ensure that all LGBTQ+ people, regardless of their circumstances, have access to the resources they need to live happy, healthy, and fulfilling lives. For the LGBTQ+ community specifically, I am committed to opposing any legislation that discriminates against LGBTQ+ people or allows businesses to refuse service to LGBTQ+ individuals.

Issue 2- Racial Equity

I, Lindsley Hall, strive to reshape our policies to address the racial wealth gap and the systematic oppression that has created it. My primary objective is to introduce legislation that supports comprehensive reparations programs to rectify the economic injustice faced by Black Americans in the United States. Furthermore, I will advocate for policies that increase access to affordable housing, quality education, and healthcare for all individuals, regardless of their race. I firmly believe that by dismantling the systems that perpetuate racial inequality, we can build a more just and equitable society that provides equal opportunities for all.

Issue 3- Fair Minimum Wage

As someone who grew up in a hardworking family in Michigan, I know the value of a dollar and the struggle to make ends meet. That's why I'm running for Congress: to fight for a living wage that allows people to provide for their families, have a roof over their heads, and save for the future. The federal minimum wage in this country continues to fall behind the cost of living. In Michigan, we need to raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour, and index it to inflation so that it continues to keep up with the cost of housing and other necessities. By increasing the minimum wage, we can help families afford housing, healthcare, and other basic necessities. We can also help businesses by increasing consumer spending, thereby boosting the economy.
